This install was completed in 2011 for a client that wanted a lush green relaxing yard. We used five different specimens of clumping bamboo, Deodar Cedar, sensitive plant for a dry creek bed. Over 3 tons of rocks we used to build the waterfall into the pool. We mixed african iris with native grasses and evergreen liriope to provide a breezy laid back feeling with this yard. Fragrant tea olives were used near the sitting are under the palapa so that guest would be graced with the perfume-like fragrance they emit while relaxing next the tranquil pool. Everything about this yard says slow down and take it all in. The owner had quite a nice selection of local artwork to add to the design so we incorporated her pieces into the design.
If I could pick any of my designs for own backyard this would be the one.
